# Ghostli

> Privacy-first AI assistant for developers. Token-based access (no account/password), local encrypted app data, multiple AI models, Live Code, Repository Context, terminal integration, and CBE research tools.

Ghostli is a desktop app (Electron, Windows/Linux) for developers who want an AI coding assistant without a traditional account system. Instead of email/password, users authenticate with an 8-digit access token tied to a plan. Locally saved app data (sessions, settings) is encrypted on-device with a password-derived key. Usage is metered in tokens with a daily limit that resets every 24 hours on every plan.

- Basic — $10/mo, 120,000 tokens/day, paid model choices unlocked, single device.
- Pro — $20/mo, 300,000 tokens/day, paid model choices, 2 simultaneous devices.
- Unlimited — $32/mo, 1,000,000 tokens/day, model updates when available, 2 simultaneous devices.

Available AI models in the client: G-Basic, G-Max, and Grok. Live Code / workspace modes use G-Agent behavior for tool-based code work.

## Key facts

- No traditional account: sign-in is via an 8-digit access token, checked against hashed server records.
- Free tokens are claimed with an email address (major providers only: Gmail, Outlook/Hotmail/Live, iCloud, Yahoo/AOL) and delivered after a one-time email confirmation link.
- Paid plans can be purchased without providing an email; the token is also returned directly after checkout.
- Payments are accepted in Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin (BTC).
- Users choose what files are shared through Live Code or Repository Context; nothing outside the selected workspace is accessed.
- Requests still have to be sent to AI model providers to be answered — Ghostli does not claim server-side message content is never processed, only that local app data is encrypted and stored emails are not kept in reversible form once no longer needed for delivery.
